Professor Erdal Dinc¸ was born in Ilgın (Konya, Turkey) on June 3, 1963. Erdal Dinc¸ is professor of analytical chemistry in the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ankara University (Turkey) and received his undergraduate degree in teaching chemistry department, Gazi University in 1986.
He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees, both in analytical chemistry, from Ankara University, Turkey, in 1989 and 1996, respectively. Erdal Dinç¸ was appointed assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor in analytical chemistry at Ankara University in 2000, 2004, and 2009, respectively. Erdal Dinç¸ has published more than 182 research papers in international and national scientific journals (indexed in SCI and other indexes), more than 97 papers in national and international Conference Abstract Books and Proceedings, and seven book chapters. His papers were cited approximately 2413 times and he has H-index=27. His main research interests are spectrophotometry (UV-VIS and IR), spectrofluorometric methods, chromatography, and chemometrics (multivariate curve resolution, multiway data analysis, factor analysis, wavelet transform) for the development of new methods for drug analysis, biological fluid analysis, food analysis, plant analysis, characterization of nano-film on the modified electrode systems and pKa determination. Professor Dinç¸ has organized, as a chair, four conferences: the 12th National Spectroscopy Congress with International Participation and the three series of International Conference on New Trends in Chemometrics and Applications. He has given many lectures in various national and international conferences. Professor Dinc¸ is a member of the Turkish Chemometrics Society (chair) and Pharmaceutical Sciences Society. Erdal Dinc¸ is a member of the editorial board of the FABAD Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dinc¸ has received the Ankara University Scientific Award (2009–2010) due to his outstanding work in the field of analytical chemistry, and he received the best paper award (2010) from the journal Revista de Chimie.
