MULTIBLE EMULSIONS AND THEIR USE IN COSMETICS

Summary:
Multible emulsions are ideal systems for cosmetic applications. Water soluble substances such as proteins and vitamins and oil soluble substances such as perfumes can be formulated in the same products. They also sustain release of the various cosmetic ingredients. This review article includes general informationabout the multiple emulsions, preparation methods and release mechanisms of the active substances. Cosmetic applications of these systems are also introduced.
