ABSTRACT

ORAL ANTIDIABETIC 2,4-THIAZOLIDINEDIONE DERIVATIVE AGENTS II

Summary:
In our previous paper, antidiabetic effects, structure-activity relationships and biotransformation of the 2,4-thiazolidindione (2,4-TZD) derivatives, which have been known to have various pharmacological properties, were reported. In this paper, chemical reactions such as cycloaddition, nucleophilic addition, nucleophilic substitution and photochemical reactions, synthesis of the 2,4-TZD ring and other substituted derivatives, IR, NMR and Mass spectral data of the 2,4-TZD derivatives have been summarized.
