Summary:
It has been suggested that platelet-activating factor (PAF) is an endogenous mediator which might play an important role in the pathophysiology of myocardial ischemia. Some investigations about the biosynthesis, antagonists and cardiovascular effects of PAF and it’s role on myocardial ischemia have been summarized in this review.
